Toby Travanner

Toby Travanner is a professional corporate trainer, keynote presenter, master of ceremonies and consultant. His primary area of expertise is coaching individuals and teams to realise their business and personal goals especially in the areas of sales and marketing.  He is an entertaining and challenging facilitator, with a reputation for high-energy, high-contact presentations.  Toby consistently achieves 'excellent' ratings from the participants of his sessions, with most of his clients rating him as the best presenter they have ever worked with.

Toby runs his own learning and development company, aptly named The Learning Company Pty Ltd. Prior to this, Toby headed his own company for 8 years before merging operations in 2000 with CPT Global Limited, an IT consultancy firm, where he was General Manager – Training. Toby also worked for IBM Australia for 7 years, where he was most recently the Professional Skills Curriculum Manager for IBM Education Consulting, Asia Pacific after holding a variety of sales and sales management roles.

Toby has a degree in scientific research and also has a background in the entertainment industry. He is also a Member of the Adjunct Faculty at the Australian Graduate School of Management.

Emil Djakic

Dr Djakic is a Tasmanian medical graduate working for the past 13 years in the North West Region of Tasmania as a partner in a 10 doctor practice in Ulverstone.

He is the current Chair of the Australian General Practice Network and has for the last ten years been a participant in his local Division- General Practice North West- four years as Chair.

Dr Djakic’s involvement with the Divisions of General Practice Network has been driven by his active interest in the structure of the health care system, and through his roles in the Network he has played a proactive role in health policy planning.

Dr Djakic also works closely with the Tasmanian office of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and is on the state faculty board.

Dr Djakic has four daughters and spends his spare time pursuing his other passions- fishing and local amateur theatre.

Fiona Lake

holds the Eric Saint Chair in Medicine at UWA, based at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital where she is a respiratory physician with an interest in interstitial lung disease and management of COPD.

Her academic interest is in medical education, in improving the clinical learning environment. With colleagues she has developed workshops in disciplines of medicine, nursing, dentistry, allied health and veterinarian science called “Teaching on the Run” (http://totr.meddent.uwa.edu.au/), as well as workshops for trainees called “Learning on the Run”, all aimed to improve clinical learning and supervision.

Glenn Ruscoe

Glenn Ruscoe is a Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist and works primarily as a clinician and manager of a private practice in Perth Western Australia.   Other qualifications include a Diploma of Clinical Acupuncture and a Masters of Business Administration. 

Glenn also works as an Independent Physiotherapy Consultant and teaches post graduate courses internationally in Acupuncture and Whole Body Vibration.  Glenn has been a member and Chairman of the Physiotherapists Registration Board of Western Australia for four years and is the inaugural Chair of the Physiotherapy Registration Board of Australia.  Within the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme, Glenn also chairs the Forum of National Board Chairs.

Louise Schaper

Dr Louise Schaper’s appointment as CEO of HISA came on the back of 10 years of experience in, and applied passion for, health informatics.  With a background as an occupational therapist and a PhD on technology acceptance amongst allied health professionals, Louise is a world leader in allied health informatics and e-health.

In addition to her role with HISA, Louise is part of NEHTA’s Clinical Leads team and chairs the E-Health International Advisory Group of the World Federation of Occupational Therapists.  Louise is a self-proclaimed ‘lobbyist’ for the promotion and use of information and communications technology (ICT) within healthcare and is committed to, and passionate about, health reform enabled by e-health. 

Marcus Dripps

Marcus Dripps is a physiotherapist based in the Geelong region of Victoria. He operates several private practices, and has a particular clinical interest in occupational health.

Marcus has been a member of the board of directors of the Australian Physiotherapy Association since 2007, and has been appointed as national vice president from 2011.

He is an advisor the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Helathcare. He is a medical advisor to the Transport Accident Commission, and Worksafe in Victoria.

Marcus is a non-executive Director of Barwon Health, the public health service provider for the Geelong region which operates services across the healthcare spectrum from Acute hospital services to community health centres.

He is a father of 5, with an interest in running and sailing.

Marilyn Moffat

Dr. Marilyn Moffat, a recognized leader in the United States and internationally, is a practitioner, a teacher, a consultant, a leader, and an author. She received her baccalaureate degree from Queens College and her physical therapy certificate and PhD degrees from New York University. She is a Full Professor of Physical Therapy at New York University, where she directs both the professional doctoral program (DPT) and the post-professional graduate master's degree program in pathokinesiology.  She has been in private practice for over forty years and currently practices in the New York area.

Dr. Moffat is currently the President of the World Confederation for Physical Therapy, and she coordinated the efforts to develop international guidelines for physical therapist educational programs and standards of physical therapy practice around the world. She has given over 800 professional presentations throughout her practice lifetime, and she has taught and provided consultation services in many areas around the world. Dr. Moffat is a Past- president of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).

Amongst her many publications are two books for the lay audience - American Physical Therapy Association’s Book of Body Maintenance and Repair and Age-Defying Fitness. She also completed a 4 book series know as the Musculoskeletal Essentials, Cardiovascular/Pulmonary Essentials, Neuromuscular Essentials, and Integumentary Essentials for physical therapy clinicians and students. As part of her commitment to research, Dr. Moffat is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for Physical Therapy. She is the recipient of numerous awards and honors, and she has had an APTA leadership award and a New York Physical Therapy Association service award named after her.

Mark McCrindle

Mark McCrindle is a social researcher with an international reputation for tracking the emerging trends and analysing the diverse generations. He is the Director of McCrindle Research, whose clients include over 100 multinational organisations. His highly valued research and reports have developed his renown as a futurist, demographer and social commentator.

Some of his recent clients include: Apple, PepsiCo, Oracle, Merrill Lynch, McDonalds, Wyeth, LG, Aviva, Toshiba, Cadbury Schweppes, Daimler Chrysler, Exxon Mobil, Time Warner, American Express, AXA, Unilever, Marriott, Disney Shell, Toyota, State Street, PwC, Autoliv and News Corp.

 

Robert Wells

Robert Wells is the Director of the Australian Primary Health Care Research Institute and Menzies Centre for Health Policy at The Australian National University. He has a broad role to work across the ANU in the areas of health research and policy analysis, including a number of projects in the fields of primary health care and workforce policy. He participates in national committees advising governments on research and medical training. Robert is a former first assistant secretary in the Department of Health and Ageing where he was involved in research policy, Commonwealth/State relations, health workforce, rural health programs, safety and quality and programs for better management of major diseases such as cancer, diabetes and mental health. Mr Wells managed the Commonwealth's health workforce programs from the early 1990's. He chaired the Medical Training Review Panel and represented the Commonwealth on the Australian Medical Workforce Advisory Committee (AMWAC), the Australian Health Workforce Officials Committee (AHWOC) and the Australian Medical Council (AMC). He has chaired a number of workforce committees established under the auspices of the Australian Health Ministers Council, including working parties on national medical registration and specialist medical training and has represented Australia internationally on medical workforce matters.

Steve Simpson

Steve Simpson is an international speaker, consultant and author based in Queensland,. Described by UK based e-Customer Service World as ‘Australia’s leading corporate culture authority’, Steve has created the concept of UGRs
® which is receiving global acclaim as a tool to understand and improve organisational culture.

Steve has spoken at two World Conferences on Customer Service Management, in the US – where he rated in the Top 10 speakers. He has recently spoken at UK Customer Management Conference in Edinburgh, the Regional Conference for the Academy of Chief Executives in London, and the International Leadership Symposium in Johannesburg. He is the author of two books and a contributing author to a further two books.

Steve has been accredited as a Certified Speaking Professional (CSP), the highest speaker distinction recognised by the International Federation for Professional Speakers.
