Continence & Women's Health Physio (CWH)
Membership of the CWHPA will benefit all physiotherapists, from those at the forefront doing research, to new physiotherapists entering the area of Continence and Women's Health.Physiotherapists who work in more remote areas and need to treat Continence and Women's Health issues without access to specialist services, can benefit from the wealth of experience and expertise available.
So much work has been done over the years in the area of Continence and Women's Health and we would like to make it easier for members to access new information and resources in the area of Continence and Women's Health Physiotherapy.
Benefits
A National eNewsletter is distributed by email, with hard copies available for those without an email address. We aim to produce 4 eNewsletters for the year, to include:
- dates for forthcoming professional development events in each state
- reports from conferences, workshops, lectures and clinical evenings
- profiles of people in continence and women's health physiotherapy
- discussion of current issues in CWHPA
- case studies
- updates on research in CWHPA
- book reviews and abstracts of recent journal articles
- information on print material and and audiovisual aids that our members are currently using in their practice

Career Pathway
The APA National Groups have a process for recognising members with advanced expertise and experience in their relevant area of practice.
As the first step to specialisation, members that demonstrate an advanced level of competency and experience in their field of practice may apply to the APA National Groups to be awarded the right to use an APA Physiotherapy title.
The award of title serves as the professional mark of distinction for physiotherapists practising in their specific field of practice.
