APA National Groups provide specialised clinical and professional supportThe APA has fourteen National Groups covering a range of areas of physiotherapy practice. National Groups offer members specialised information and support in clinical and occupational fields of practice as well as the opportunity to contribute to the development of APA policies and position statements.
A National Group provides its members with the latest news on their area of practice through regular email bulletins, and magazines for the musculoskeletal, sports and business groups. Each National Group runs professional development lecture evenings, courses and conferences on their area of practice, for which members receive discounts when registering.
National Groups provide members with a pathway to specialisation in their area of practice. Members who develop their skills and knowledge in an area of practice are recognised with titled membership on the path to specialisation and fellowship of the Australian College of Physiotherapy where appropriate.
