Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy Australia (CRPA)

The Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy Australia (CRPA) promotes physiotherapy in the management of both acute and chronic cardiorespiratory conditions. Members work in a range of settings - hospitals, rehabilitation and community health centres, private practise and academic environments. They practise in a diverse range of clinical areas both inpatient and outpatient. These include, medical and surgical wards through to high dependency and intensive care units in acute adult and children's hospitals and community and outpatient services including pulmonary and cardiac rehabilitation.

Titling & Specialisation

The APA National Groups have a process for recognising members with advanced expertise and experience in their relevant area of practice.

As the first step to specialisation, members that demonstrate an advanced level of competency and experience in their field of practice may apply to the APA National Groups to be awarded the right to use an APA Physiotherapy title.

The award of title serves as the professional mark of distinction for physiotherapists practising in their specific field of practice.
